Much hype for the freedom of media is caused by the new media ordinance.

The media might have been free and "enlightened" but to a some extent it is not performing its duties.
No where in the international media we can see the images of the dead who were killed in a bomb blast or suicide bomb.
Some times ago, a private channel boasted that it showed the blown away head of the suicide bomber first on its channel.
And then the youth channels which are full of BEEPed up words, and it gives an impression that we are watching an x-rated, jerry springer type program rather than a local television channel.

After the earthquake, may television channels went overboard and showed videos of people already died and laying under the debris and went to an extent, showing a woman dying right infront of the camera.

Where in the world do we get to see such exclusive coverage ?
We get to see a time check every 15 minutes, which we never get to see on any of the foreigh channels ?
The nation who has no value for time, gets to see a time check every 15 minutes- and that too a sponosred time check -
so every 15 minutes we get to see 2 more minutes of advertisement adding up to the over all advertisings we watch on television.

A 20 minute program like mein aur tum , or 4 man show, shows adds of more than 40 minutes, making the program at a total of 1 hour ?
